Tape down your paper to an artboard or other hard surface.
Paint in a purple sky with lots of watercolor and biggest floppy brush you can lay your hands on.
While the paint is wet, quickly wrap a Kleenex around the bottom of a plastic cup and press it where you want the moon to be. Count to 10 and then lift the cup.
Have your plastic cling wrap ready to go and while the blue paint is still wet...
Sprinkle a handful of salt along the bottom (snow) area of the artwork. Then, quickly smoosh the cling wrap over the wet salty area.
...lay it on the blue paint along the horizon line
